American Ingenuity is under attack from senior U.S. Senators. This is the only way to describe the efforts of Mitch McConnell and his peers on Capitol Hill with his recent move to eliminate American Hemp.
It was Mitch McConnell himself who paved the way for the Hemp Industry to blossom with the passing of the 2018 Farm Bill—a bill that fundamentally transformed the legal landscape of Hemp in America. Now that 300,000 Americans have jobs as a result of Hemp driving $28 Billion of revenue, Senator McConnell aims to submarine the entire industry.
All of this will happen as our elected officials line their pockets with money from Big Alcohol and other lobbies that view Hemp as a threat. Hemp is not a threat, it is an opportunity for Americans—it is an opportunity for jobs, better health, and access to a well-regulated market of better-health alternatives for American adults.
Time is of the essence! Several legislators—including Rand Paul, the other Senator from Kentucky not in the Bourbon producers pockets—are moving language forward to prevent this ban on hemp and allow Americans to make their own choices. Please contact your legislators and let them know that you want the choice to enjoy hemp products and encourage them to stand with Rand Paul to keep hemp and all of its amazing benefits legal.
